Lantau Island

Most people who come to Hong Kong would like to visit the Big Buddha because it is the second largest sitting bronze Buddha in the world. But a lot of locals think the Buddha or even the cable car Ngong Ping 360 has anything special. After all, it was built very recently in early 1990s so kind of like a theme park specifically built for tourists there. As a result, we recommend going there to learn more about Buddism as a religion and visit Tai O fishing village instead.
