Is there anyone like me who loves to visit the local bars on a trip? There is Ping Pong City in Sai Ying Pun, giving you an extensive option of gin.

On an ordinary and unassuming street, there is a scarlet-red door with the signs of “Ping Pong City” and “Sale of Ping Pong Equipment”. You could not imagine after passing through the narrow door and walking down the stairs, you will find a Spanish gin bar featuring soaring ceilings, edgy contemporary art and a mix of nostalgic Hong Kong touches and contemporary Mediterranean influences.

Ping Pong City was a former Ping Pong parlour, which you can tell from the interior of the bar. The high ceilings and spaciousness make Ping Pong City stand out from other bars. A neon sign in Chinese characters “Train Your Body” right in the middle of a fantastic liquor lineup definitely deserves an Instagram post.

If you are looking for cocktails, oops! Sorry! There is only one choice for you, gin & tonic. But if you are a gin lover, you would love this bar. It has various choices of gins & tonics from worldwide, some that you may only find in Pin Pong City. You can have classic Spanish brand Gin Xoriguer and also locally owned Perfume Trees there. The bar provides cold cuts, cheese and a grilled cheese toast as well. The atmosphere and drinks of the bar are worth a visit!
